Seedlings and Saplings Group 1st July 2014 - 24th December 2014

Every Tuesday at Fordhall Farm is our 'Parent and Toddlers' Group. In our secure and beautiful classroom there are various toys and activities to keep your children entertained, to learn about new sights, sounds and textures and to explore the farm and see what gorgeous creatures you might discover! A lovely space for you to meet other parents, let the children play and you can enjoy a cup of tea, cake or lunch from our tearoom.

Help Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Fordhall Farm to survey the land for all manner of wildlife. FREE and suitable for all ages and abilities from the expert to the novice.

Wild Wander 21st August 2014

Explore the farm using your senses. Play with clay, colour palette, barefoot walk and a veil of silence. £5 per child. 10.30am-12.30pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Family fun in the woods 28th August 2014

Sit by the campfire, cook damper bread, make a nettle string belt and a giant nest. £5 per child. 10.30am-12.30pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Greenwood Workshop (Adults) 20th September 2014

Learn the basics of greenwood working and make your own stool using traditional tools and techniques. Suitable for 16+

Mushroom Mosey 11th October 2014

Go on a fungi forage with a local mushroom expert, John Hughes and enjoy a mushroom themed lunch.

9.30am - 1pm, £15, Lunch included.

Volunteer Weekend 11th October 2014 - 12th October 2014

Take part in activities around the farm including building a compost toilet and solar shower, creating raised beds, creating a green roof and landsaping. This is a great opportunity to meet new poeple, make new friends and learn a new skill. You just need to be prepared to Get Mucky! There is no charge for these weekends, we only ask for a donation towards you lunches and snacks and breaktime. Come alone or bring a friend, we'll love to see you here.

Magic and Mystery: A Traditional Shropshire Halloween 26th October 2014 - 26th October 2014

An evening celebrating pumpkins, apples and the autumn season. Traditional family activities including apple bobbing, pumpkin carving and storytelling.
