Seedlings and Saplings Group 7th January 2014 - 10th June 2014

Every Tuesday at Fordhall Farm is our 'Parent and Toddlers' Group. In our secure and beautiful classroom there are various toys and activities to keep your children entertained, to learn about new sights, sounds and textures and to explore the farm and see what gorgeous creatures you might discover! A lovely space for you to meet other parents, let the children play and you can enjoy a cup of tea, cake or lunch from our tearoom.

Music from The Shropshire Heroes with dance caller Baz Parkes and Fordhall Hog Roast (veggie options available).

Cash bar selling local ales, local cider and organic wine.

Spring Celebration 27th April 2014

Family fun day out. Local producer's market, family activities, live entertainment, Dan's Cannons, welly wanging, seed swap, pizza baking, may pole dancing, Fordhall treasure hunt...also get up close to the lambs and newly hatched chicks!

Dawn Chorus 3rd May 2014

Learn how to identify the different birds by their birdsong, then take a guided walk around Fordhall listening to the beautiful melodies of the Dawn Chorus. After the walk enjoy a delicious Full Shropshire breakfast.

Propagate your own herbs and forage Fordhall's fields.

Volunteer Weekend 7th June 2014 - 8th June 2014

Take part in activities around the farm including building a compost toilet and solar shower, creating raised beds, creating a green roof and landsaping. This is a great opportunity to meet new poeple, make new friends and learn a new skill. You just need to be prepared to Get Mucky! There is no charge for these weekends, we only ask for a donation towards you lunches and snacks and breaktime. Come alone or bring a friend, we'll love to see you here.

An introduction and fascinating insight to Biodynamic gardening. looking at nature, making the most of the palnts we have around us and farming iwth the cycles of the moon. This will include practical demonstrations on making preparations, as well as theory.
