How Can You Get Involved?

Buy Shares in the Fordhall Community Land Initiative

Shares are £50 each and they mean that you part own Fordhall Farm.

These are life long shares in the Fordhall Community Land Initiative and entitle you to a vote at the Annual General Meeting. Each share comes with a beautifully presented share certificate and for the first year you will receive free subscription to 'Friends of Fordhall' which entitles you to quarterly newsletters. These shares are completely non-profit making - you are investing in the future.

DONATE to the cause

Any donation, large or small, will help our cause. We have charitable status and so please do not forget to sign the gift aid declaration if you pay tax - this way we can claim an extra 28% on all monies we receive from you!

Interest Free Loan

You can provide an Interest Free Loan at no risk to you. These are for a minimum of 5 years, after which you will have your money returned.

These loans provide us with the cash to move the project forward much quicker, whilst the slower grants are being processed. We can accept any amount over £100, but of course the larger the better!

Become a Volunteer

This project is run by young people who are learning all the time. The Initiative already has a great mix of skills on its board and within its current database of volunteers but more skills and time are always needed.

We need help with administration, marketing, gathering sponsorship, looking for grants, creating the new builds on the farm, and any other ways you think you may be of use.

We are now looking for help with the new buildings, architects drawings, surveyors - all these skills are needed.

Spread the Word

One of the most powerful tools of our campaign is by word of mouth. You can help by forwarding the link to our website to all your friends, or by downloading the leaflet on the left and giving it to collegues or friends. Even if you only tell two people - it can make all the difference...

Buy a Community Share?

Why not hold your own fundraising event? you could have a car boot, sell cakes, car wash, charity dinner, fancy dress, fun run - whatever takes your fancy. And for every £50 you raise you can buy a share for your community group in the Fordhall Community Land Initiative. Your community group can own a part of the English Countryside forever!

Why not download a poster today and send off for some leaflets. We can also provide promotional posters for events if you give us a call. The more people who are involved the better....

Put up a Poster in your Shop or Community Centre

We have been lucky enough to have the support of our district council in North Shropshire. They have printed posters suitable for shop windows or notice boards - Do you have anywhere to display them and to place some of our leaflets?

If so, please do email or ring us with your contact details and the number of leaflets you require. You can download a poster here.

Write a Letter of Support

These are immensley valuable when applying for grants. A short email or letter of support from you can make a big difference. Just tell us where you are from and why you support this innovative project.
