In addition to our national delivery service, to support our community we are now also offering a local delivery service. Customers can also order online and collect from the shop in a specified time slot. To take advantage of these options, visit to register as a customer.
If you are in a vulnerable group and would prefer us to bring your shopping out to your car to minimise contact with others, please call us beforehand on 01630 317531 – we are more than happy to help.
We have installed an organic milk vending machine outside the Farm Shop, which is filled daily with fresh milk from Taylor’s Organic Dairy in Rowton, North Shropshire. The milk is pasteurised, but not homogenised. Purchase a glass bottle from the Farm Shop for £1.50, and bring this bottle each time to refill.
Arthur's Farm Kitchen has now re-opened Tuesday to Thursday only, and is participating in the Eat out to Help Out scheme in August 2020. We are open 10am - 4.00pm and pre-booking is preferred and advisable due to the limited tables we have available in order to adhere to social distancing. Call 01630 638696 to book a table, we will require all your contact details for Track and Trace. We will accommodate walk-ins if possible on the day but there are no guarantees! If you visit on a weekend however don't despair, there are other options. Takeaway drinks, speciality coffees and cake are available Fri-Sun from our Grazing Cabin. The team are also busy making takeaway meals which are being sold in the Farm Shop, as well as delicious takeaway Cream Teas.
Our Farm Trails are free and are open for visitors, from Tuesday – Saturday 9.30am – 4pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm. If social distancing is not practiced we will be forced to close the trails, but we sincerely hope this will not be the case, as we recognise how important green space and fresh air is to people’s wellbeing. Hand sanitiser is available at the main gateway and picnics on blankets are welcome.
In response to the crisis, we have established a Covid-19 board sub group to make speedy and appropriate decisions regarding the situation. This sub group (made up of key board members) has with full delegated decision making powers as confirmed by all Board members, until such time as government restrictions are lifted and it will keep in regular contact with the main board. The group will also ensure continuation of engagement with FCLI and the farm, and most importantly keeping in touch with YOU our supporters. The group have agreed the following in respect of our AGM: 1. To ensure the safety of our staff and shareholders, and the safeguarding of our resources, the 2020 AGM should be cancelled rather than postponed. 2. Decisions will be taken on the ballot papers received - both paper (posted to all members March 2020) and electronic (circulated April 2020). 3. The outcome of the ballot will be communicated in a mailing to all members in June (or as soon as possible according to current guidelines), along with the Annual Review (to include Chairs and Treasurers reports). If you have not yet sent us your postal ballot paper, you may alternatively complete an online ballot paper before May 8. . In the absence of the AGM if you have any questions you would like to ask our lovely Chair, Treasurer or myself, you may do so using the online ballot paper or simply by emailing us. There will also be further opportunities to ask questions at our Supporters BBQ in September (date and details TBC).
We are slowly navigating re-opening many of our services. This is an ever changing landscape, but at present: - yurts will open for bookings from July 10th - care farm is opening with limited numbers - volunteer placements will resume from 3rd July - Straw Lodge - we are considering opening this for private hire throughout August. - Arthur's Farm Kitchen café has reopened Tuesday to Thursday 10am - 4pm - youth project remains closed - toddler groups remain closed
We are still accepting share purchases, donations and subscriptions to The Grazer magazine. However, as many staff have been furloughed, please bear with us as we catch up with paperwork. Most will come to you electronically (including a share certificate) and when the office fully re-opens we will be able to forward on hard copies of share certificates.
We are doing our best to keep in touch with you during this period. Ben is doing a fantastic job with regular videos on our Facebook page and Charlotte is regularly updating the blog on our website (see bottom of page).
