Supporters’ BBQ

Our supporters’ BBQ at Fordhall tomorrow is open to all our shareholders, donor’s, subscribers and volunteers. The event starts at 11.30 until 3pm and there will be lots of opportunities to meet our staff team, enjoy some Fordhall grub, and see a bit of Fordhall ‘behind the scenes’.

We will have some greenwood demonstrations in the garden, run by our senior youth worker, Mike Price. He will give you the opportunity to whittle a spoon or make your own wooden dab for the garden. Do have a chat to him about our youth project – he loves a natter!

Chris Shaw our membership support officer will be on hand to answer any questions you have about shares, subscriptions, legacies or generally about Fordhall. The wonderful Marie will then be on the front gate, welcoming you all through. Marie joined our office team in February, and has very recently been promoted to deputy manager. She formally starts her role on September 10th, so be sure to say congratulations as you come in 🙂

As usual, there will be tours by Ben and myself too. We will be taking groups to see the progress on the bunkhouse, the livestock and of course to discuss the impending challenge of the Cottage field.

We have made provisions for those who can not walk very far too. You will still be able to take a tour of the farm, simply let Marie know when you come in through the main gate and after lunch Ben will play the chauffeur in his 4×4.

And finally, we have booked sunshine!
