Fordhall in the Daily Mail and in Book Shrop!

Charlotte and Ben’s Book ‘The Fight for Fordhall farm’ was reviewed in todays Daily Mail by Richard Benson.

Yet another boost to the book sales following on from a Book Signing yesterday in Book Shrop in Whitchurch. They both gave a talk as many quests squeezed into the book shop, they then signed books before returning to Fordhall to get ready for todays farmers market in Shrewsbury.

OOh the life of a farmer!

  2. Hi Charlotte and Ben,
I have just finished reading your Dad’s book, it was wonderful, what a
fantastic man. It was beautifully written and a joy to read, I learned a
lot and now look forward to reading yours, you really are a chip off the
old block..well done and may success be yours, you deserve it.
I am passing the book around to friends and will mention it at our village
library in hope of them purchasing, if you haven’t beaten me to it!
I hope you, Sophie and the team are well.

    All good wishes,

  3. Dear Charlotte and Ben,

I read ‘The Fight for Fordhall Farm’ immediately after reading ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ and found both books equally as exciting. Also in a way, both books had much the same message – the long hard fight to improve life for other people as well as for the main characters. Whilst I read your book I felt proud that I’d bought one share as soon as I heard about your struggle and a second share after reading the last newsletter you sent before the deadline. I’ve never visited Shropshire and have no connection with farming but as soon as I first read about your fight to save your farm I knew I had to help. Reading your book brought back all the emotions I felt during your campaign.

The two of you and Sophie and all the hundreds of people who have helped in practical ways have done a wonderful job and I’m so pleased to have been a tiny part of it.

Thank you and very best wishes for the future.

    Margaret, Essex
