We can cater for your local group whether it is a U3A, WI, Rotary, Natural History, Organic Gardeners or international visitors. Why not choose something different and arrange a visit to England’s first community-owned farm?
We offer guided walks by Charlotte Hollins around Fordhall. A group tour (for groups of 15+) will generally take about 1.75 hours and provide you with the inspiring behind the scenes story of how this historic farm was saved from development by thousands of people across the world. The walk also covers the unique Foggage farming system, organics, volunteering and more.
We ask for a donation towards the farm to run your private walk, with only a charge for refreshments and lunches. We can accommodate groups Tuesday-Sunday. Guided tours are available Tuesday-Friday, for day or evening bookings.
Catering may consist of anything from a cup of tea and cake to a full Ploughman’s buffet, afternoon tea or Sunday Lunches in our eco-building. You are also more than welcome to bring your own picnic and make an afternoon of it in the picnic area.
We can cater for groups up to 60 in our function room and we have a coach park for larger groups. Catering packages vary and can be tailored to your needs, but our favourite is the Ploughman’s Buffet, this includes:
- selection of Fordhall cold sliced meats
- home-made pork pies
- home-made Gloucester Old Spot terrine
- vegetarian quiches
- selection of local and organic cheeses
- selection of three/four seasonal salads
- home-made chutneys and pickles
- home-made soda bread (gluten free bread available)

Making a booking:
Walks need to be booked for a minimum of 12 people. The terrain is variable with moderate hills and there are no styles to climb.
