Catering Trailers for your event
Coming from humble beginnings in 2004, Fordhall Farm Event Catering Limited has grown into a well-recognised event catering company offering mobile catering to national shows, events and stadiums. Our ethos is based around our core values of producing honest, high quality, sustainable food from our farm in Shropshire, while supporting the British Agriculture Industry by only buying British.
Provenance is key to us and we understand the importance of supporting British farmers like us alongside local suppliers. All of the meat including burgers, sausages and bacon used for catering is prepared on the farm by our team of highly skilled butchers. The meat itself is either sourced direct from our farm or from trusted local suppliers.
You may be thinking “how can a small farm in Shropshire cope with feeding the thousands of people attending my event”. In 2011 we completed a major redevelopment of the farm’s infrastructure. The £500,000 project created a state-of-the-art production facility on the farm, where we have many different strings to our bow incorporating a production facility for the preparation of all our meat requirements. We then further increased our efficiency in 2019 with the purchase of new automated production equipment. Our butchers now have capacity to make no less than 10,000 burgers per day – their hands can move quite fast!
Fordhall Farm operates a fleet of high output modern catering units, ranging from new trailer units, to converted containers, and there are even some vintage vans in the range. Our catering units have the highest capacity equipment installed. All our units are wrapped and branded with the farm’s livery and portray the premium brand that is Fordhall. We have the flexibility to produce a variety of different menus, but our crucial point of difference is the quality and provenance of our ingredients, creating a catering outlet that people can trust.
From our first farmers’ market in 2005 with a little griddle purchased from eBay our catering business has grown consistently year-on-year. Since then we have provided catering provisions for attendees of The Cricket World Cup – Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, The Royal Welsh Show, Cheltenham Racecourse, Twickenham Stadium, Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, The Commonwealth Games and CarFest to name but a few. We have a fleet of over 15 of our own units, and work alongside many guest traders who provide specialised and artisan foods. We will manage in excess of 50 individual outlets on major event days. EAFRD- Europe investing in rural areas
Did you know we have been involved in a large catering business expansion project over the last couple of years? We have received funding from the European Agricultural Fund or Rural Developments via the RPA’s RDPE growth programme, which has helped us to grow and develop the catering business. Funding from this project, as well as our own reserves and a lot of hard work from the team has enabled us to invest in new outlets, equipment and technologies to increase our output and efficiency.
Hog Roasts or Private Catering
We also offer catering for private events, with a hog roast, the hire of one of our catering units or with a buffet, canapés or a gourmet BBQ. We can come to your venue with a Fordhall hog roast or with a decadent buffet, canapés or a gourmet BBQ.
Of course we can offer our own fields, function room or the Straw Lodge bunkhouse for a celebration too!
