Stay in The Straw Lodge at Fordhall Farm
Constructed from straw bales, wood, sheep’s wool and car tyres, our eco-friendly Straw Lodge is one of the largest volunteer-built straw bale buildings in England.
Built by the community for the community, our welcoming building provides an inspiring base for people to learn about low-impact, organic farming. It also showcases environmentally-friendly and traditional architectural techniques.
With accommodation for 25, we look forward to welcoming school groups, Scouts, Guides and other organised community groups, as well as businesses.
