Supporting our community
Arthur’s Farm Kitchen is run by the Fordhall Community Land Initiative, a charitable society set up to benefit the community. All profits from the café are re-invested within our educational and community work.
Our values
We are passionate about organic farming, and great-tasting seasonal locally-sourced food. All our meat comes fresh from Fordhall Farm and our vegetables and salads are sourced from an organic local producer. Learn about how we put our ethics into practice by checking out Our Values.
Explore
During your visit to Arthur’s Farm Kitchen, make sure you have a look around the farm too. Take a walk along our Farm Trails, visit our free-range pigs, wander around our community garden and let little ones loose in our play area.
Accessibility
We have a toilet for disabled and parking for disabled. The Farm Shop and Arthur’s Farm Kitchen are accessible for wheelchairs and scooters. After passing over a short gravel area, our community garden and free range pigs are accessible for most sturdy wheelchairs and scooters during dry weather.
Dogs
You are welcome to bring your four-legged friend to the café and on the Farm Trails providing they are kept on a lead. Dogs (except assistance dogs) are not allowed in the Farm Shop.
Community focus
We are proud to support various community initiatives such as The Chatty Café Scheme and hold Dementia friendly status. We have a ‘Chatter and Natter’ table, where people can sit if they’re happy to talk to other customers. The Chatty Café scheme was started to help bring people together and start up conversations.
