Fordhall tenth anniversary survey

On July 1, 2016, one of the biggest David and Goliath battles ever fought in the British countryside will celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Fordhall Farm became a global phenomenon back in 2006 when siblings Ben and Charlotte Hollins – aged just 19 and 21 – fought off developers to save their family farm in a pioneering campaign which attracted the support of Sting, the Prince of Wales and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

Their fight and determination helped raise a staggering £800,000 in just 6 months with the help of people around the world who bought shares in the business.

Fordhall became Britain’s first community owned farm and, a decade on, has shown the huge impact community businesses can have on the people around them.

Rather than simply celebrate the milestone, Ben and Charlotte have been instrumental in launching Community Business Fortnight which takes place on July 2 and 3 2016 to inspire the next generation of community projects.

To commemorate this anniversary they are asking their members and supporters to complete this short survey to help measure Fordhall’s impact on the movement.
