Fordhall Community Land Initiative’s Vision to 2023

Looking to the Future – to 2023

As we approach the construction of our strawbale bunkhouse, we are getting close to achieving everything set out in our vision 12 years ago, when Fordhall was first placed into community ownership. The Board of FCLI are looking to the future. They want to develop and implement a Fordhall Vision for the next five years, 2018-2023.

As our shareholders and members, we value your support and commitment in developing this future vision.

Your input would ensure that we are continuing to develop, without losing our core values, which we know mean so much to us all.

The results of the short questionnaire will be presented to the Board of Directors, with the intention to present a draft vision to you all at the 2018 AGM.

‘Let your voice be heard, this moment is yours’

The current draft mission statement being considered by the Board is:

To ensure Fordhall’s exemplar enterprise prospers and flourishes, proving that organic farming connected to the local community can offer a viable way of life for generations for come; allowing us all to live healthier, happier lives in harmony with Mother Nature.

Our Draft vision:

This looks at where we want to be in 2023+. What do we look like? What impact do we want to have? What change do we want to create in the world? What will success in our mission look like?

The vision will evolve from the points below – but have we missed anything? Where should our emphasis lie? The steering group will consult with the Board, staff, and you to ensure the vision is written as a collective over the coming months – we would really appreciate your input.
