Fordhall is the people’s farm.
Not only are we open to the public for events, farm trails, the café, glamping and the farm shop, but we also provide opportunities for involvement and education.
Fulfilling the aim of the community landlord (Fordhall Community Land Initiative) to educate future generations and to use Fordhall to benefit all sectors of the community, the community landlord runs a wealth of projects.
At present there is a ‘care farming’ project which works with adults with learning disabilities, growing organic vegetables in our community garden.
A ‘youth project’ working with young people for whom the conventional educational system is not suited.
Plus, a vast array of educational tours, experiences and offers suitable for all ages and abilities.
Fordhall is evolving organically through the years and we are sure there will be more to add to this list in due course. We love the journey a community-owned farm takes you on and we love even more, sharing that journey with you all.
