Renew and Restore in Nature
July 4, 2025
Thanks to generous funding from Lingen Davies, Fordhall is able to offer free sessions to individuals with a cancer diagnosis.

We are very proud to receive funding for the second year from Lingen Davies Cancer Charity Trust. This grant has allowed us to continue our restorative sessions for those in the local and surrounding area who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
The sessions run fortnightly on Fridays with the aim to provide restorative, fun and uplifting sessions that are rooted in nature. The content of the sessions provides activities such as yoga, foraging, ambles on the farm, butchery talks (including getting hands-on), crafts and cooking. They provide the chance to have a go at something new whilst in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by the lush green fields of Fordhall. The day is very open, and people can dip in and out as much as they feel comfortable, with the farm having many areas for those who just want a little mindfulness time. The sessions have provided a wonderful wellbeing boost to many attendees and many friendships have also been formed. To some it has even given them the confidence to return to work when able to.
Quotes from lovely attendees:
‘What I enjoyed the most was connecting with others and being in nature’
‘Always a special space to renew, relax and reset’
‘Magic moments have been walking in the fields, seeing two kites, listening to bird song’
‘Yoga was really good that I was able to do so much in the chair’
‘Sausage making was fun had a laugh and a new experience’
If you have been affected by cancer and live in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales and would like to come along, please register your interest through our website, www.fordhallfarm.com/renewandrestore and book onto the sessions advertised.
